At Skhron, security and reliability of our infrastructure have always been among our highest priorities. We have therefore decided to discontinue BTCPay Server as a cryptocurrency payment gateway in favour of Bitcart.
Recent security incidents involving BTCPay Server have raised serious concerns about the project's security and long-term reliability. Combined with a number of architectural and infrastructure-related decisions that we strongly disagree with, these developments have significantly undermined our confidence in the project's direction.
None of these incidents affected Skhron's infrastructure. We would like to emphasise that this change is a preventive measure.
From now on, all new cryptocurrency payments will be handled by Bitcart, which has already been part of our payment infrastructure for quite some time and has earned our confidence through its reliability and approach to security.
All previously available cryptocurrency payment methods, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Lightning Network payments, will remain supported.
Existing BTCPay Server invoices will continue to function until they are either paid or expired. Once all outstanding invoices have been cleared, the remaining BTCPay Server instance will be permanently shut down.
Thank you for trusting us!
