Where are your servers located?
Our Stockholm servers are hosted in the Obenet Kista Gate datacentre in Kista, Stockholm. The facility provides redundant power and cooling, with 24/7 monitored physical security.
What is the Stockholm location best for?
Stockholm is a solid choice for a VPN, private services or a website that benefits from a Nordic location and low latency to the region.
What connectivity and latency can I expect from Stockholm?
Stockholm has redundant transit across multiple independent upstreams, with diverse paths to major global carriers present in Sweden – including Arelion, Cogent, GTT, Lumen and Orange. Median latency is around 2 ms within Sweden and
up to 15 ms to neighbouring Nordic countries, measured by RIPE Atlas. You can verify live routing and latency yourself from our
looking glass and
RIPE Atlas anchor.
Do I need KYC to order a VPS?
No. Skhron does not require government ID, driver's license, selfie or any other documentation to order or use our services. You can sign up and pay without identity verification.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Both cryptocurrencies and traditional payment methods, such as Visa and Mastercard bank cards and SEPA bank transfer are available. Accepted cryptocurrencies include but not limited to Bitcoin and Lightning, Monero, Tron and USDC (Ethereum and Polygon chains). Cryptocurrency payments run through our own self-hosted, non-custodial gateway on our infrastructure, avoiding sharing your transaction data with any third-party.
How quickly is my server deployed?
Provisioning is automated and typically completes within a few minutes of you completing the build configuration in the control panel.
What virtualization do you use?
All our servers run on KVM. You get an isolated environment, powered with your own kernel, and any operating system installable from a custom ISO.
Which operating systems can I install from a template?
We provide ready-made templates for the most popular Linux distributions, including Debian, Ubuntu Server, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Alpine Linux. You can also install any other operating system yourself by mounting a custom ISO.
Can I install a custom operating system? Do you support custom ISO?
Yes. All our VPS plans support custom ISO mounting directly from the control panel. You can install any operating system from an external URL, completely automated without having to contact support.
What IPv6 prefix size is included?
Every VPS includes a routed /64 IPv6 prefix at no extra cost. A routed /56 prefix is available free of charge upon request. Unlike many providers, we offer routed prefixes to help you avoid quirks required for "on link" prefixes.
Do you include an IPv4 address?
A dedicated IPv4 address is not included, but it is available as an add-on at €0.65 per month per address. Each IPv4 address you add is dedicated to your server.
Can an IPv6-only server reach IPv4-only services? Do you offer NAT64?
Yes. Your server can reach IPv4-only services like GitHub through our NAT64 gateway.
Can IPv4-only networks reach my IPv6-only server? Am I using IPv4 or IPv6?
No, legacy IPv4-only networks can't reach your server without a dedicated IPv4 address. Your connection is legacy IPv4 – you couldn't reach one without adding an IPv4 address.
Do you provide automated reverse DNS / PTR management?
Yes. Reverse DNS (PTR) records are self-service from the VirtFusion control panel for both your IPv4 and IPv6 addresses – no support ticket needed.
Do you offer BGP sessions?
Yes. We provide free BGP sessions for all our customers. This is ideal for network hobbyists and enterprise customers who want to announce their own IP prefixes. Contact our technical support for setup details. Please note that provision is manual.
Do you allow mailing/SMTP? Is port 25/tcp open?
Yes. Unlike some providers we have unconditionally unrestricted inbound 25/tcp port for your SMTP server hosting needs. Please note that outgoing 25/tcp is restricted due to strict anti-spam policies, which are covered in our Terms of Service.
What is your uptime SLA?
We offer a 99.95% uptime SLA with generous SLA credits. Our measured network uptime is 99.99%. For more details refer to our
Service Level Agreement.
Do you oversell? How does fair use work?
NO. We plan node capacity so your server stays responsive and CPU steal approaches zero in practice. Fair-use limits are only there to curb the rare guest that abuses shared capacity, not to throttle normal use. See our
Fair use policy (FUP) for the binding details.
Do you provide DDoS protection?
We protect our own network to keep the platform stable for all customers, but we do not offer DDoS mitigation as a per-customer service or guarantee. Services that draw sustained attacks may be filtered or temporarily null-routed to protect other customers on the same infrastructure.
Do you offer backup/snapshot?
We don't offer managed backups or snapshots. Keeping backups of your data is your own responsibility – we recommend keeping regular off-server copies of anything important.
Can I get a refund?
